Historical background
"The 2nd Division of Internal Medicine of the University Hospital of Ioannina, Greece, was founded in 2004",after the separation of the Department of Internal Medicine in two divisions.
It has 30 beds, 4 of which are dedicated to patients who require increased medical care.
Chief of the Department is Moses Elisaf, Professor of Internal Medicine in the University of Ioannina Medical School.
Associated outpatient clinics include the Outpatient Lipid and Obesity Clinic and the Outpatient Clinic of the 2nd Division of Internal Medicine.
